    Sorrow's Resurrection

So... im thinking about getting a new engine for my car since the chop shop guy hasn't paid me for my car (i kept the title, no worries). Just wondering what kind of engine and where i should get it from. I was thinking about getting a JDM engine (6 bolt probably. Opinions?!).

Im leaning towards a 95 and under engine since my car had the 6 bolt head swap done on it. (old style CAS and such).

    So. Opinions? Discuss!

It has the 1G Intake Mani and the intake inlets also match spec for the 1G.

If you can't find one locally, search the classifieds. You will get a lot more bang for your buck replacing the long block with a built or stock bottom end then you would buying a "JDM" Ebay crate motor. Just make sure you buy from a reputable person. If you spring for a built one, I would personally like to see miles on it first. Or, just build your crap. Either way, you can beat out 1800 jdm swap any day. Especially since you wont be needing most of the bull that comes with it anyways.

I work for an automotive group and a friend of mine in parts says he has a friend in California that got a hold of a totaled Eclipse (2G Turbo) and is wanting to sell the motor for 400.

SearchTempest - The EASY way to search Craigslist

Find yourself a local selling a motor or parting out the car. Take the engine and go from there. I got my engine from a local for 650 and it was worth every dime.
    Time for another project....

So i found a deal on Engine/Tranny for 900. kinda worth it IMO. Full 6-bolt block and havent asked on the trans yet (just got the PM). Questions though. Ive seen some talk about mounts being different... What needs to be modified to do this swap? with a full engine assembly what on the body do i have to tweak to make this fit in the engine bay? Not worried about ANYTHING else at this point.

You need a 2g trans to go along with the 6bolt. I can't remember right now since its 3:30 am, but if you need any different mounts or something, look under the 6 bolt swap info on this site.
